Why REPP Law Exists

A firm built on
personal attention.

Julia Williams is the founder of Real Estate Planning and Probate, Inc., a boutique estate planning and business planning law firm. Ms. Williams’ practice focuses on probates and estate planning, with an emphasis on business succession and asset protection planning for small- to mid-sized family-held businesses.

Ms. Williams began her career in 2006 litigating shareholder rights and securities class actions. While she achieved several noteworthy wins in “bet the company”-type litigation, she found the conflict and lack of cooperative approaches in litigation to be a waste of company and individual resources. In 2015, she left litigation to pursue her passion of helping individuals and families plan for the future to avoid the uncertainty that often leads to litigation. She founded the Law Offices of Julia M. Williams, APC, which later became Real Estate Planning and Probate, Inc., in 2017.

Ms. Williams focuses her work on probate proceedings and estate planning for families with small and mid-sized businesses, including real estate exchange strategies, irrevocable trusts to maximize income tax efficiency, business succession through family entities, and charitable mechanisms to transfer wealth while minimizing taxes. Ms. Williams takes an empathetic and pragmatic approach to probate proceedings and estate planning, inspired by her own experiences both with respect to foundational estate planning during life and dealing with the unexpected twists and turns encountered in trust administration and probate proceedings after death.

Ms. Williams prides herself on understanding complex family dynamics and charting pathways to ensure maximization of generational wealth and minimalization of potential family infighting after death.
